My best tip to overcome the fear of speaking is to practice and to practice more than you think you need to so you become so comfortable with your talk that nothing can throw you off your game.

When you first start speaking, say yes to every opportunity you can get to speak. Not only is it good practice, but you will also practice that talk before you do it – many, many times.
