This episode of the Public Speaking Super Powers Podcast features Carma’s interview with Shay Olivarria, who is a speaker and author of the book, Money Matters: The Get It Done In One Minute Workbook.
Length: 15 minutes, 59 seconds
Shay Oliverria believes that connection to an audience is the key to a successful presentation. If she had to choose between perfect presentation and connecting with an audience, “I would choose being able to emotionally connect.” In this episode, she shares her advice on how to create that emotional connection.
Shay Oliverria’s Big Tip: “become a student of life. This is one of those things that you really can’t learn in the traditional sense. You have to just get out there and know people. You have to watch everyone and everything around you. [Do] anything that will help you better understand people and culture.”
