Podcast Highlights
Length: 22 minutes, 22 seconds
Bob Bevard believes that you need to be comfortable to be a good speaker — comfortable with yourself, your clothes, your expertise and information, and comfortable with the room in which you are speaking. In this episode, he talks about how to achieve this level of comfort, as well as several other keys to effective speaking.
Bob Bevard’s Big Tip: Learn how to modulate your voice. “I absolutely believe that you can make a good voice better,” he said. “Think about the lower ranges and tones.” Pay attention to how you breathe and be sure to use vocal variety.
About the Public Speaking Super Powers Podcast Series
Carma Spence, the author of Public Speaking Super Powers, interviewed 80+ speakers as research for the book. This podcast shares those interviews so you can hear what the Featured Speakers said in their own words. This series will run twice a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays, until all interviews are posted. Occasionally, a special edition with a new interview will be added to the mix.
