This episode of the Public Speaking Super Powers Podcast features Carma’s interview with Jack Hoban, who is a subject matter expert for the U.S. Marine Corps martial arts program and president of Resolution Group International. He’s a guest lecturer and speaker who covers the topics of leadership, ethics, cross-cultural conflict resolution, and martial arts.
Length: 15 minutes, 10 seconds
Jack Hoban has some interesting information to share. In this episode, we talk about the concept of the ethical warrior and how physical movement helps people learn both intellectual and ethical information better.
Jack Hoban’s Big Tip: You have to engage your audience emotionally, says Jack Hoban. “You can do that in a couple of different ways. One, with stories. And all the great speakers use stories or anecdotes or parables. But they’re very much more important than maybe we thought they were. It’s not just to get a laugh, but people learn through their emotions.”
