Take every opportunity to learn from other speakers An Interview with Julie Austin

At a recent meeting of the Long Beach chapter of the Professional Speakers Association, I had the opportunity to interview Julie Austin, the creator of Speaker Sponsor, a site that helps speakers find sponsors and sponsors find speakers to sponsor.

Julie’s advice was to learn from successful speakers. This past weekend I had the opportunity to do just that. I attended Maurice DiMino’s Million Dollar Message Bootcamp. Not only did I learn a lot about how to pull my message together, how to get gigs and how to monetize my gigs, I also got to watch a pro in action! To say I learned a lot would be under-selling the event.

Every time you attend a workshop, seminar or boot camp, watch how the speaker or speakers ply their craft. You’ll find that you’ll learn a lot about how to organize your own presentations, how to use your voice and body to help communicate your message and sometimes even how to effectively monetize your speaking gigs.

You can read more about Julie Austin on her Featured Speaker page.
