Mark Chussil is Founder and CEO of Advanced Competitive Strategies, Inc. A 35‐year veteran of competitive strategy and a pioneer in business war gaming, he has designed numerous innovative techniques including ACS’s ValueWar™ strategy simulator. Mark is also a Founder of Crisis Simulations International, LLC, where he designed the DXMA™ simulator.
Mark’s simulation designs have earned a patent (DXMA, United States Patent No. 7,536,287) and a best‐in‐class industry award (ValueWar). A patent is pending on Mark’s Strategy Decision Test™ technology.
Mark has helped executives in dozens of Fortune Global 500 companies on six continents achieve stunning insights in industries including airlines, chemicals, computers, gasoline retailing, health and beauty aids, internet access, medical devices, pesticides, petroleum, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, vaccines, and vehicles. He speaks about strategic thinking, strategy simulation and business war‐gaming at conferences around the world.
Prior to ACS, Mark worked for 15 years at the Strategic Planning Institute (The PIMS Program) and three years at Sequent Computer Systems. He lectured from 1989 to 1994 in the Competitive Marketing Strategies program in the Aresty Institute of Executive Education at The Wharton School.
Mark is lead author of Strategy Analysis with ValueWar (Scientific Press). He also wrote Marvelous Techniques: Essays on Going Beyond Strategy as We’ve Known It (available from ACS) and Nice Start: Questions Only You Can Answer to Create the Life Only You Can Live (Inkwater Press).
