Podcast Highlights

Length: 15 minutes, 49 seconds

Billy got a rocky, albeit enthusiastic, start in speaking. But he soon learned that being willing to speak about anything was not a good idea. He strongly believes that to be a good speaker you not only have to have a passion for your topic but an emphasis on being of service, as well.

Billy’s Big Tip: “And one day, someone gave me some great advice. And he basically said, ‘I wouldn’t hire you.’ After looking at all my wonderful materials that I thought I had. Jist of that conversation came down to this: He said, ‘Billy, get your expertise down. Find out where your passion is. And throw everything else away.'”

Carma, I was pleasantly surprised to see my interview with you released again on Twitter. Wow…..seven years ago. So appreciative that you choose to once again release our conversation. It was a treat and a “relief” that I provided sound advice to your audience. Very proud of your project and willingness to help others that might wish to become a professional speaker.

Thanks for a job well done.

PS: I finally wrote my Leadership book. In fact, I’m releasing two on leadership this quarter. I’m a slow writer!!
